Diamond Color – The less color in the stone, the more desirable and valuable it is. Even though the differences may not be visible to the naked eye they can impact the price and quality of the stone.
Diamond Cut – Grades range from excellent to poor. You may think that the cut refers to the shape of a diamond, but actually to the proportion, arrangement and the quality of workmanship.
Diamond Clarity – Grades range from flawless (virtually no imperfections) to included (contain a significant amount of imperfections). It also measures the amount, size and placement of internal inclusions and external belmishes.
Diamond Carat – This is also known as the diamond weight. In most cases, the higher the carat weight, the more valuable the stone. The other 3Cs need to be considered as well since all stones are not equal.
